The house has 6 bedrooms and sleeps 12 adults:
The North Wing has 4 bedrooms and two ablution facilities. Each bedroom has an air conditioner and fan. Two rooms have a double bed and two have 2 three quarter beds. The main bedroom has a jet bath and sea view together with one other bedroom. These bedrooms sleep 8 people.
The South Wing has 2 bedrooms and two ablution facilities. Both rooms have 2 three quarter beds. Regret no air conditioners in these rooms but there are ceiling fans.
There are two lounges. The main lounge has a music system and DStv with a leather lounge suite. The second lounge (or music room as it is also become known) has a music system and lounge suite which overlooks the ocean. There is also a recreation room which is just one open room with plastic chairs that looks onto the back garden. Used mainly when weather is not too good or for people who are doing training sessions. The splash pool is in the front of the house - on the beach side. Please ensure that water level is kept to correct height.
As you can see, the house is designed for adult use and so we regret no children. We would expect any breakages to be reported and where necessary replaced by yourselves.
Goodness, the maid, will arrive at about 7h30 daily to clean up - her duties can be found at the back of the information booklet. While we understand that people do not want to feel intruded upon, her primary task is to clean the living areas for your benefit.
During the months between April and November you will be able to site bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales from the deck
Please Note!
This is a home and we trust that while you are here you will be at home, as such we ask you to treat it with the care and pride you treat your own home.
There are a few important matters you need to be conscious of whilst here:
- All the cutlery and crockery is here for your use, please bring any breakages to our attention.
- The flood-light on the deck may be used, however, please be conscious of not leaving it on for too long as this draws a lot of electricity. Please use with discretion.
- The house has an alarm and is monitored by Chubb security. If you leave the house please ensure all doors and windows are closed and the house is armed.
- Please ensure that the gate that gives you direct access to the beach is closed in the evening.
- If you use the jet-bath, please ensure that this is switched on only once the water level is above the jets.
- Please provide your own toilet paper and toiletries
- If you intend doing fishing please ensure that you have the appropriate licence.
The kitchen is fully equipped with two fridges and a stand up deep freeze. There is a dishwasher (you will need to provide soap). Please note that towels will not be supplied unless requested prior to your arrival. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and we are located 6Km from Port Shepstone where Shopping Centres, a gym and other medical facilities are available. A list of emergency numbers are available at the house. Access to internet can be arranged at the house (at internet rates) otherwise Port Shepstone has internet café’s.
